Meet Jo – Mien’s Newest Expert in Special Event Hair & Makeup
We’re thrilled to welcome the incredibly talented Jo to the Mien Salon & Spa team! With nine years of industry experience under her belt, Jo brings a dynamic blend of creativity, precision, and warmth to every appointment—and she’s now taking bookings for Special Event Hair and Makeup!
Eager to deepen her knowledge and proficiency, Jo pursued and obtained a Diploma of Screen and Media (Specialist Makeup Services) at the National Academy of Beauty in 2017 solidifying her understanding of advanced makeup techniques (Fashion Editorial and SFX). This led her to the fast-paced world of retail makeup artistry, where she honed her technical skills working with some of the world’s leading beauty retailers (NARS, Charlotte Tilbury, MAC).
Armed with years of practical industry experience she then ventured into entrepreneurship and higher education, up-skilling to Hair Styling and pivoting her way into Hair and Beauty Salons. From there, her passion only grew for Hair & Makeup as she ventured into the Bridal industry adding another dimension to her already impressive portfolio.
