Yumie completed her beauty school in Japan and went onto the prestigious La Seine Spa where she learnt and was inspired with the philosophy of shiatsu. Currently Yumie is a remedial massage student as well as being one of Mien’s favourite Spa Therapists. Her favourite treatments to provide are massage and facials. She says she tries to move energy and help people to feel lighter and improve flow throughout body. She likes to use her intuition to find pain and discomfort and relieve and restore. She also likes to create a program of stretching and massages that are specific to getting results. After facials her goal is to see an improved complexion and make recommendation on home care that’s helpful.

Elspeth is one of Mien's spa’ excellent specialist therapists, someone whom I can definitely advocate for!

One of the areas of speciality for Elspeth is aromatherapy. Working with essential oils and the olfactory senses is a real craft and she finds that certain aromas create a sense of place, environment and seriously contribute to relaxation. Aromatherapy is an important part of the Aveda treatment experience. She loves customising treatments for each specific client and working with the essential oils is an integral part of that.

She’s had the privilege of being employed in some of the best spas in London treating many high profile clients so famous she says she’s bound by confidentiality and can’t name drop!!
Kat started out doing an apprenticeship in beauty therapy choosing to specialise in facials and waxing. She says she broadened her skill set in India where she studied ayurvedic, marma (energy points) and yoga massage. Kat loves her work, in particular making people feel good about themselves and seeing people change with the results of her therapy. She just loves the before and after, the end results.
